This course will challenge participants to make their classroom presentations more meaningful by incorporating photographic images. The photo-journalist and photo-artist contribute greatly to the understanding and enjoyment of our culture. These concepts can efficiently be employed within a classroom setting as well. Research initiatives, mind-brain concepts, multiple intelligence issues and gender equity will be discussed to demonstrate the necessity for enhancing lessons with images. Participants will actively and cooperatively investigate historical and personal photography in order to make their curriculums more accessible and applicable. Consideration of “special needs” and standardized testing strategies are included.
