Recent educational research suggests methods for teachers to better serve their diverse student population. This course will investigate those functions that are best adapted to pedagogical strategies, leading to the study of ways groups internalize information and foster a greater ethnic and gender equality. Discussions will include methods that spatial, synthetic, non-linear learners, so often underappreciated, employ. These will consider communication in the classroom, between and among the sexes, between multicultural groups, within a homogeneous or heterogeneous setting. Teachers should feel better empowered to tackle challenges such as classroom anxiety, Common Core Standards, testing strategies, and critical thinking embedded curricula.
